Context: The Ancients (black robbed characters), have the power to turn concepts or ideas into actuality and can also revert said creations back into aether(energy)- creation magic. This isn't isolated to just inanimate objects but also life. In service to creating a better world(The Star), concepts and their effects on the world, are evaluated to determine if it serves the greater good and Hermes is in charge of such determinations. However, he anguish over the fact that so many 'failed' concepts are reverted back into aether without a chance to live or a say in the matter.
