Essential Experience: Power & freedom through expression.

Audience:

  • Players who enjoy difficult bullet hell levels or action combat elements with a unique visual style and narrative- Can appeal to speed-runners.

  • Aesthetic is going to be cell shaded/ stylise very reminiscent of anime or other animated series- Appeals to fans of said genre and style (e.g Fan artist).

  • Late teen-young adults.

  • Players who care about how they look in-game

Unity 3D:

  • For creating the game.

  • A tool I am familiar with. Save time from learning a new engine.

  • Greater direct support from peers.

Blender:

  • Creating 3D models/ assets.

  • It is cheap and free.

  • Can be used to make animations.

  • I am familiar with the tool. Save time from learning a new tool.

Clipstudio paint:

  • A tool I already own & familiar with.

  • Has tool for creating manga/ comic (used to make comic/manga cutscenes).

  • Can be used to make 2D animations/ VFX particles/ textures if needed.

Muscore3:

  • Free tool for creating music sheets & music melody.

  • Can help prototype melodies for music student to use.

  • Reproductions of melodies are perfectly sync.

  • Free tool for humanoid animations.

  • Auto rig model which saves time.

  • Good starting point to work from.

  • Animations can be opened in Unity & Blender.

Visual Studio:

  • Used to help code in Unity.

  • Better IDE (integrated development environment) then Unity default Monobehaviour.

  • Spots syntax error in code better than default IDE.

  • Colour coded syntax for easy code reading.

  • Is an interpreter rather than a compiler like Monobevaiour meaning it spots errors more precisely.

  • Auto fill syntax which speeds up developments.

Hardware:

PC/ Laptop:

  • Portable device I have.

  • Flexible working setup.

  • Benchmark stress test device for game performance & optimisations.

Huion Kamvas Pro 13/ Drawing Tablets:

  • Used to help create digital assets.

  • Can be used to sculpt in Blender or create 2D assets with drawing software.

  • Acts as a double screen- better workflow.

Assets:

  • Relatively cost effective.

  • In depth system/ explanation of package.

  • Lighten work load & free up time.

  • Free assets to set-up a 3D character movement in Unity.

  • Saves time from coding.
